1) Who we are
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TechLabs website, online store, and repair services (collectively, the “Services”). “TechLabs”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Tech-Labs, registered in UK, company number N/A, registered office in Southsea, UK. You can contact us at support@tech-labs.co.uk.
2) Acceptance of these Terms
By visiting our site, placing an order, or booking a repair, you agree to these Terms and to any policies referenced here (e.g., our Privacy Policy and Returns Policy). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
3) Eligibility & account
- You must be at least 18 to place orders or enter a repair contract with us.
- If you create an account, you’re responsible for your credentials and all activity under it.
4) Online store: products, pricing & orders
- Descriptions. We aim to be accurate; minor packaging/colour differences may occur.
- Pricing & availability. GBP prices include VAT where applicable. Orders are accepted on dispatch/confirmation.
- Payments. Cards are processed by third parties (e.g., Stripe) under their terms and notices.
- Shipping/collection. Delivery estimates aren’t guarantees. Risk passes on delivery.
- Returns. UK consumer rights may apply—see our Returns Policy for details and exclusions.
4A) Royal Mail delivery, claims & losses
- Carrier. We primarily use Royal Mail for UK deliveries.
- Delivery confirmation & risk. When Royal Mail records “Delivered” to your address, risk passes. Statutory rights remain.
- Can't locate item? Check letterbox/communal areas, safe places, neighbours, and your Delivery Office; notify us within 7 days of a “Delivered” scan.
- Investigations. A short Denial of Receipt may be required for appeals. Refunds/replacements follow carrier confirmation or successful appeal.
- If delivery is upheld. We can’t refund/replace under this policy when Royal Mail maintains successful delivery.
- Suspected theft after delivery. Provide a police crime reference number; we’ll add it to the case and consider goodwill.
- Address accuracy. You must provide a complete, correct address.
- Higher-value orders. We may require Signed-For/Tracked or collection at our discretion.
5) Repairs: booking, diagnostics & quotations
- Assessment & quote. Initial estimates may change post-diagnosis; we’ll seek approval first.
- Data & backups. Back up your data. We’re not liable for data loss.
- Liquid damage/intermittent faults. Such devices may deteriorate; no warranty unless stated.
- Third-party parts. We may use quality compatibles when OEM isn’t viable.
- Passcodes. If provided, used only to test repairs.
- Uncollected devices. After [90 days] and notice, we may dispose/sell to recover costs as permitted by law.
6) Repair warranty
- Scope. Parts & labour for [e.g., 90 days] covering only the specific repair.
- Exclusions. Damage/misuse, liquid ingress, third-party work, software, pre-existing faults.
- Remedy. Re-repair or part replacement at our discretion. Statutory rights unaffected.
7) Prohibited uses
No misuse, unauthorised access, security interference, automated scraping, or unlawful use.
8) Intellectual property
Site content is owned/licensed by TechLabs and protected by IP laws. No copying/modifying without permission.
9) Reviews & user content
You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use/display submitted content for operating and promoting the Services.
10) Privacy & cookies
We process personal data per our Privacy Policy. The site may use cookies or similar tech.
11) Disclaimers
Services are provided “as is/available”. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Statutory rights remain.
12) Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect/consequential loss or loss of data/profit/business; total liability for a purchase/repair is limited to the amount paid or £100, whichever is greater. We don’t exclude liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or non-excludable liabilities.
13) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify TechLabs for claims/costs arising from your breach or misuse.
14) Changes to the Services & Terms
We may update Services/Terms. Material changes will be signposted; continued use means acceptance.
15) Governing law & jurisdiction
England & Wales law governs; courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction (subject to UK/EU consumer venue rights).
